Since this is a genetic condition, it’s probably worth mentioning my family history. I have one brother and two sisters.
-- My brother had several collapses on each lung and underwent one pleurodesis surgery.
-- My oldest sister had one lung collapse, which was treated by chest tube.
-- My mother has 8 brothers, two of whom had lung collapses (not treated).
-- My dad's only brother had a lung that collapsed several times and required a pleurodesis surgery.
